Please poke holes in my plan and also leave comments

I plan to purchase my primary residence (Ft. Sill, OK) with the VA home loan (live in one year) move, rent this residence and use an FHA loan on the next. Is this possible? Does anyone have an alternate route to get started? I have about 30K to get started and the VA home loan with closing cost should be about 3K.

@Anthony W. This is a viable plan, and you could always use the VA loan a second time (once you execute PCS orders elsewhere). You could also sell/refinance out of the VA loan and reuse the VA loan in the same region.
