First Rental Property - The Numbers

Hey Guys! New Investor here, any help is appreciated :)

How do I calculate the numbers on a property & know when I see a good opportunity to buy?

Also I’m thinking of starting with a foreclosure strategy & wanted some feedback. I want to start right away but I want to make sure I get a good first buy.

@Chase Woodard, I would highly recommend you check out Jay Scott's books. They are filled with the answer to this question and the many more you'll have along the way. Good luck as you move forward.

"The Book on Flipping Houses," and "The Book on Estimating REHAB Cost."
