how to get started while still in college (Los Angeles Area)

I’m a 19 year ild college student who’s super interested in real estate, more specifically investing, and I don’t know where to even begin. I’ve reached out to some agents but they didn’t really understand that you don’t necessarily need a license to get into the form of real estate I wanna get into.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start so I can start looking to buy my first rental property?
