Vacant Home, Previous Owner Passed Away

Hey BP folks,

I recently found a home that’s vacant due the owner passing away. The home is likely paid off, due to it being built in 1976. After looking at county records for the property, ownership has not been transferred, so I assume there was no family to transfer the home to. After looking at the notices on the home, the property is being preserved by a property preservation company.

What may be the best way to go about making an offer for this home?
