Planning to quit my 9-5 in two years
Hi everybody!
Over last few weeks I’ve listened to over a hundred BP podcasts! Got motivated enough to go full on at it. Set a goal for myself (though not the best strategy) to quit my job by the end of 2021!
I’m not exactly new. I’ve house hacked a duplex for 4 years now. And have two free and clear properties (not an official BP way of doing it haha) one of which brings $750 gross (tenants paying all the bill) on $15k investment, and the other one I am rehabbing (have been for over a year :( )
Now learning to scale faster then my original strategy to buy with cash where I can afford and rent out.
Learning how to get cash out of what I own and scale!
Figured I would finish rehabbing last property rent it out, move out of the duplex (potentially rent) and rent that out. That will bring me to 4 doors rented.
With two units bringing 50% of my annual salary, with 4, I’d be close to all of it, though it will change when I leverage more (which I also apply for a mortgage)
Trying to figure out which detection should I go, 2-4plexes (which are scarce in the area where I want to go) or single family...
How did you guys do it when you started?
Thank you for any help!
