Chef to Rental Property Investor?

Posted

Good day All,

Currently i'm a chef in the Milford MA area. Mid thirties and have had the idea/motivation to invest in something bigger than a weekly paycheck. Hopefully gain some more family time in the process, of which i have none.

Wondering if there are any chef or service type professionals that have taken the plunge in real estate, via multifamily buy and hold strategy. I have a plan to start small in the 300-400k 3 family route. Find a great deal with minimal to no rehab needed and see how it goes.

Another thing on my mind is acquiring my real estate licence to aid in this endeavor and meet the loan, and legal professionals i may need in my  team in the future. Perhaps take a small step back in my chef career and work in the Real estate field par time to get my feet wet.

Anyone ever taken a similar path in the Mass area?

thank you,

BIll
