Finding Commercial Investing Partners

I am a fairly new agent, as I've just been licensed a year. I sell commercial real estate, but my end goal is to build my own portfolio with primarily commercial properties. I'm not opposed to multi-family or SFR totally, but the hassle doesn't appeal to me. I'm currently working on self branding, as all new agents must, and I've started a networking group in NEA which I believe will lead me to the needed connections. I've also joined my local chamber, and try to introduce myself to lenders and such in the area. I'm just curious how some of you found investors to partner with when you first got started.
