How do I get started?

Been looking into getting into real estate for awhile but I’m hesitant to make the jump. I have a pretty decent job and make a good living but at the end of the day I don’t want to have to work another 35 years there to retire! Starting out I’m not trying to sink a lot of my own money into my first deal. What can I do and where do I even really start?
