NYC Wholesaler Looking to catch first deal!

Hello everyone!! I've been doing my research over the past 2 months and i have taken some courses on wholesaling. There seems to be a lot of opportunity in this industry and i can truly see myself making this a full time gig to build wealth for my family however, I'm in a bit of a slump.

So far, i've been doing a lot of listsource searching and skip tracing the leads i come across. it has cost me a few hundred dollars which is expected but I'm not too sure im targeting the correct market. NYC is huge and competition is even bigger. If there's anyone out there who has been successful in NY id love to hear back from you and take any recommendations you may have. Im open to anything. So far i've been emailing tax delinquent lists from the bronx and i have several absentee owner lists i found on listsource. I havent started to cold call but i know that's something I will have to start doing right away.

I am determined to make this work!

Thanks in advance and stay blessed everyone!
