Does anyone have experience with investing while in the military?

Currently serving in the United States Marine Corps, I’ve been in 9 years and I’m wanting to start investing into real estate so I can get to a point where I can get out or just do reserves and have more time with my son. I’m curious to know if anyone has any experience with getting started while still in and if so, any advice or recommendations for getting started with little or no money down.
