Does anyone have experience with investing while in the military?
Currently serving in the United States Marine Corps, I’ve been in 9 years and I’m wanting to start investing into real estate so I can get to a point where I can get out or just do reserves and have more time with my son. I’m curious to know if anyone has any experience with getting started while still in and if so, any advice or recommendations for getting started with little or no money down.

@Kyle Falkenstein There are tons of active military here on BP that are investing while serving. You should definitely listen to @David Pere's podcast and check out his website/blog/youtube channel. Another to check out is ADPI (Active Duty Passive Income). And I would love to help in any way I can as well. The best way to invest with very little money when starting out is to use your VA loan and buy a duplex, triplex, or four plex and live in one unit (because you have to live there for a year if using the VA loan), and rent out the other units, which will more than likely pay your mortgage for you. Everyone here on BP calls it the "house hack". The ADPI guys even wrote a book about it: "Military House Hacking". Then, once you have more experience being a landlord and you have saved up more money, go buy more rental properties and start building your real estate empire, one property at a time.
