Is there a mentor out there to help me with my first deal here in  Suffolk, Virginia. I would like to do wholesale deals then later learn to get rental properties. I just would like to get my feet wet in the game here, I know it is a lot of people doing wholesaling right now and would like to be another on in the game.

@Tabari Jordan Remember that the kind of mentor you want is someone who is already successfully doing what you want to be doing. You need to bring value to them not the other way around. You need them a whole lot more than they need you. Approach them and bring value!

We as humans are inherently selfish. We think about what we want and what will benefit us. If you want a mentor to spend their (valuable) time teaching you then you better know that they want something of value from you as well. Money, time, knowledge...whatever you have to offer make sure you present it to a potential mentor.
