Installing subwater meter on duplex in Wyoming (Grand Rapids)
Not sure what category this would fall under but I bought a duplex about 2 years ago. The water bill has kept going up. Google doesn't provide any help to find a company to install submeters. Anybody in the Wyoming, Kentwood or Grand Rapids do this?
Thanks

@Sean N., sub-metering may not be economically feasible on duplex.
Why is the water bill going up? Higher rates or higher consumption?
If it's consumption, make sure you don't have a leak somewhere. Then look into water-saving fixtures. Finally, is consumption spiking in the Summer? If so, the tenants might be using a lot of water filling up kiddie pools or something.
Look into RUBS. It's not legal everywhere, but worth considering if allowed locally.
What is standard in your market? If you are the only property where tenants are responsible for the water bill, you'll be at a competitive disadvantage.
