Real Estate Agent Imposter Syndrome
Hello, BiggerPockets Community.
I'm suffering from Real Estate Agent Imposter Syndrome. I climbed the corporate ladder until five years ago when I entered the field of higher education as a Research Analyst. I recently became licensed as a Real Estate Agent with the intentions of doing the job part-time. As I approach potential clients, I feel unworthy of their business, and these are people who I've known for years. I have a robust employment background which has prepared me for the career I believe, positions like, Sales Representative, Bookkeeper, Accountant, Financial Analyst, Research Analyst, Vice-President of Political Action and Chief Negotiator for my union. My career choices over the years refined my technical and interpersonal skills. I'm struggling with why I'm feeling like an imposter even though at the same time I fell like I'm qualified to do the job. Any suggestions? Thank you.

If it makes you feel any better, your competition includes middle school dropouts and people perpetually on the verge of going broke...
