Getting started as an agent

Hi everybody, my name is Charles Thomas and I'm interested in becoming a full time real estate agent in the Atlanta area, I've never been around real estate before and I've done quite a bit of research on getting started but all i can find is requirements about getting a license.  Any information or tips on making sure i don't waste my money would be greatly appreciated. I'm hardworking and driven to succeed, just nervous to get started with not knowing anything, I have money put back to get started, but I really don't wanna spend it on the wrong things while getting started.

@Charles Thomas before you dive in head first, let me ask you this. Are you looking to get your licence with the intent to broker deals or are you just looking to find deals to invest in?  A licence is great for both, but not necessary for the second option.

I've been doing both for 3 years, I've ran into conflicts of interest a few times. My broker didn't appreciate the double dipping so I had to find a new broker. My advice would be to find a broker that suites your business plan the best. Your broker is part of the key to your success, they will guide you so you can get the best results.
