Just moved back to KC and want to know where to start. I have some friends in it and they say finding a wholesaler is the way to buy. Is this true? Thanks for the answers.

Wholesaling is much more difficult than most beginners think it is.  I know the gurus push it as the latest, greatest get-rich-quick strategy.  But that's in theory.  In the real world, it's not easy to find deals at .40 on the dollar.  A friend in my area is a very successful wholesaler.  We met for lunch recently.  What struck me is his mentioning that he drops 10,000 pieces of direct mail each month to find his deals.  Are you prepared to compete with that?
25 years ago I started with lease options and have used them ever since.  Heck of a lot easier to find deals than with wholesaling.  Give 'em a look.  Best wishes for success!
