San Antonio Beginner Rental Investor

Hello Everybody

I am just starting out on my Investing Journey. I started research on Investing about a month ago. I know I am a complete novice to this however. I want to get started and there is no time like the present. I live in San Antonio, Texas. I have been scouting around on varies MLS portals for a duplex or some other multi-family home that I can start on. However I have heard different things from different people on youtube, books, etc. Some say you should find a turn-key to get started and other's say invest out of state it is way better. I want to be in the Rental Market. However with so many things out there I am not quite sure where to start. Any tips on good neighborhoods to scout out?

Thank You
