Pulling comps from Real Estate Agent

Hey BP, I keep hearing a lot of people mention getting comps from a real estate agent.  If I'm a wholesaler wanting to find comps, wouldn't I be a bother to a real estate agent?  Since I am not intending to purchase a house or have them list a house for me..

Are there agents out there who are willing to look up comps for wholesalers and investors?  And if so, what's in it for the agents?

I'm trying to get an understanding of how that all works.

Thank you!
