Wanting to purchase condo near Disney World
Hi BP Community,
I'm moving to Tampa, FL in the fall, closing on a home in less than 2 weeks. My boyfriend and I are wanting to purchase a condo for STR in Orlando that we can also use for family to stay in a few weeks during the year. I have seen some major red flags with high management fees and HOAs.
Any advice for someone new coming into the Orlando market? I also haven't had the best of luck with realtors so recommendations are appreciated as well!

As far as management goes, if at all possible I'd suggest self-managing. If you both will have full time jobs in Tampa that may not be possible. It will take more work than you expect, but the 20%+ you save is pretty substantial. Just do be prepared for a lot of work, especially the first 6 months as you get established.
