Just getting started, thinking about Probate

Hey everyone, glad to be apart of this forum. I was recently introduced to the idea of wholesaling real estate. Naturally I thought this was some kind of scam as I have only seen people rehab houses on t.v. and thought this was the only way to get started. I was wrong. So with that said, I began plunging myself into the world of REI and was on youtube for almost a whole day looking at videos of wholesaling success stories. I recently joined a membership site for monthly coaching phone calls but thought it would be foolish not to take advantage of all the free resources I can. For some reason I've been attracted to the Probate niche. I don't know however if this is a good niche for a newbie. I do understand the process (for the most part), but just don't even know ho EXACTLY to get started. When I say I'm new I'm completely new, haven't even done one deal yet. My goal is to have at least my first deal done by my birthday which is in Feb. We'll see how that goes. So is Probate ideal for me? And if not, where exactly should I start? Thanks
