Real Estate Agent as a Path to REI

Danny Abrahamson
Posted

Hello,

I am starting my path towards REI. I am working on my network, finding resources, and educating myself! I want to get my RE license and work on my buying selling under a broker part-time. Has anyone gone this route? How did you find the right broker to train you? I have read articles about the pitfalls of part-time selling, but would appreciate some personal experiences, lessons learned, etc.

Thanks!

Hello @Danny Abrahamson - I got my license just before my second investment property purchase, and I hung my license with Keller Williams because they have great new agent training programs. Now my primary purpose of becoming licensed was to aid my investment purchases; however, I do also perform as an agent.
