Wholesaling in an expensive market

Hello BP community! My name is Joseph. I recently moved to Northern Virginia and wanted to get started in real estate investing through wholesaling. My strategy is to wholesale until I have enough capital to put a substantial amount down on another property. From what I've seen so far the market prices for homes in this area are pretty expensive. Whats are some good approaches I can take to effectively wholesale in an expensive market?

Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,

Joseph G.
