multiple liens on a property

Posted

hello all

new member here

i have one procedural doubt i would need solved

i did put my eyes on a property that's about to be auctioned with a starting price around 25k

reason of the auction is non paid maintenance fees

the house itself does indeed have another active lien cause of a classic mortgage

the question is: say i win this property, i do indeed clean the maintenance liens that caused the sale

what about the mortgage lien? does it fade and stays hanging on the previous owner or is it transferred with the ownership?

bottom line is after i pay what's due that caused the auction am i still liable for the mortgage or not?

state of florida if it helps

thanks a million!
