Hi BP community , thanks in advance for the help. I’m looking to ramp up my portfolio . We own two rentals currently . I’m trying to figure out how to tap into my home equity to purchase a few more houses. Two of our homes are owned free and clear , the hang up is that my better half got forced out of her job after 25 years and I don’t show a lot of income on my tax returns because of write off since I am self employed . Our credit scores are 720 and 630 . I tried going to one bank but was told the equity didn’t matter I was denied due to low income ,also the only debt I have is a car payment. Thanks again
