Sites to list rental properties

Hey! I'm new to the scene and curious about the process of listing apartments for rent.

Do any/all sites take a cut of the deposit as a fee? 

Are some sites better than others?

What part of the listing is most important for attracting tenants? (details, pictures, etc.)

Any advice or guidance is appreciated :)
