"Etal" in parcel owner name

I found an interesting property after driving my target market today and want to approach the owner in an attempt to purchase.  On the county assessor's site the owner name has "etal" after the name.  I know that Etal means "and others" and assume that would mean the property is owned by a trust in that persons name.  However, I am a complete newbie and don't know for sure.

Can someone please give some info to a hungry rookie?

Thank you for any help you can give.
