Investing in Real Estate on Active Duty.

Hi everyone. I've been on BP a little under a year now just absorbing the knowledge through the many articles and blogs available. I've also been reading books on REI like "Crushing It in Real Estate and Commercial investing" which really sparked my fire and made me eager to get my foot in the door.

I like the idea of house hacking but E5 and Below must live in the barracks if you are not married. So because I’m restricted to living in the barracks I really don’t see a way I can begin investing.

I guess what I'm looking for is a strategy or some advice on getting started in REI being single in the military. Most of the military advice I see is using the VA loan. But like I said, I'm a E-5 below and am restricted to living in the government provided housing.

Any help or advice at all would be GREATLY appreciated.
