Newbie trying to invest in Houston Texas

Hello!

My name is Lawayne and I'm interested in real estate investing with single family or multi family homes using a VA loan in Houston, Texas. I'm interested in the buy and hold method and/or no money down method, but I'm nervous about getting started. I've read the beginners guide, I've watched videos and listened to podcasts, but I still feel like I need to know more before starting. I guess I'm stuck in analysis paralysis...... I don't know anyone in real estate.

I would greatly appreciate anyone’s advice, or the chance to pick their brain to see if I’m on the right track. Please and thank you.
