Is wholesaling a good place to start?

I am looking to get started doing deals in real estate. As of right now I am still in college and don't have much money to do deals. However, I have a lot of energy and the time to find deals. Would wholesaling be a good place to start? I have read about it and it seems like a great way to make money but I am not sure due to my limited experience.

I live in Colorado and as far as I know wholesaling is legal to do in Colorado. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
