Purchasing Real Estate in College

Hannah Garrett
Posted

Hi, I’m a sophomore in college. I have $13,000 in savings. My apartment rent is around $850 a month and I am planning on taking a non paid internship (out of state so I’ll be paying rent and expenses for where I go) this summer and I will have to study abroad in the next year for my degree. I was wondering if buying a house is a good idea right now? I am also wondering how much work it will be since I am a full time student and working part time? Are there a lot of unexpected expenses that come up?
