Is Cleveland Ohio a good place for first time rental investor?

Hello all,

I am brand new to BP and is researching to get into rental investment. I heard Cleveland Ohio is one of the most affordable rental investment market. Do you pros suggest this city to start out as my first long termrental property investment? I did own and rented out properties in my home state CA but would love to start thinking long term investments for cash flow. Any opinios or suggestion of where to start off will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Most of the rust belt is affordable, but if you're looking for affordable, the properties definitely need close attention. A common experience in out-of-state investors is the high cost of property management replacing things after the tenants destroy the property. I'd suggest reaching out to different brokers in the area for insight on which areas are appropriate, or, in the alternative, you could seek out a local partner that could assist in maintaining/managing the property.
