At the bottom trying to learn how to make this a career

Good day everybody, I am a personal trainer who also has always  had an interest in learning this real estate profession, lately I have been researching the likes of the so called guru's out there like cody spenber and jay Morrison but I dont want to get caught up in another sales pitch that will only lead me to spend money on products I may not even need what books can I purchase to learn the real deal in&outs of this business to actually get to my first deal! I'm very patient and not in a rush to learn the game but I need to learn sooner then later any advice! Thank you
