How to pay back investors?

My brother in law and I are venturing into the world of fix and flips in the Phoenix, AZ market but lack capital. My partner is an appraiser and I have a background in construction management. We thought it would be a great combination to create a successful business. We have put together a great team around us but seem to be lacking one important factor, capital to get this thing off the ground!

I guess my question is multifactoral. What is the best way to compensate investors? Where do we find them, aside from family and friends? And how do I talk them into giving a startup like ourselves money? We would both be working our current jobs which give us very flexible schedules and plan to start with just one property at a time for the fist 3-4 and then the sky is the limit!

This is my first attempt at putting us out there so any and all advice is very welcome!
