Hello!

My name is Jacob, i'm a newbie trying to get into the wonderful world of real estate investing. I'm 25 years old and live in San Diego, CA. I've been raised around construction and real estate investing my entire life and now I've decided I want my own piece of the pie, but I don't know where to start! I've done hours of reading books, reading blog posts, and listening to podcasts, but I know this isn't the best way for me to learn. While it is a great place to start, I know that i'm a very hands on kinetic learner, so a mentor would be the most beneficial way for me to grasp real estate investing. After doing this research, I've discovered the Bigger Pockets forum and i'm hoping that someone will be willing to help me achieve my goals or at least set me on the right path to gather as much knowledge as I can from an expert.

Hey man, I’m just getting started too, but from what I hear at least just listening to the podcast, it’s best to approach specific people with something specific that you can do to help them with their business. Or else ask more specific questions and then reach out to people to talk to them further outside of the forums. Basically, bring value and try to form a natural relationship. Good luck getting started!
