Real estate advice & career
Hey guys,
I need input and advice. I've work p/t in underwriting and valuing over past couple years. I realize that Id like to be doing more hands-on work with RE which includes acquisitions and hands-on managing. I was looking and asking around for 3 years now, and surprisingly hadn't been able to land anything(I cant say I have fancy college degrees on my resume). I decided now to work in investment sales brokerage. Now I was in the midst of attaining a sales license. Unfortunately, my hearts not in it. Getting this license is time and money with what could be months to a year before closing a first deal.I really dont wanna be a broker, Im just doing it to gain other experience in RE but I cant help feeling I should be able to find some sort of p/t work in acquisitions or management. I guess you could say this is a last minute attempt to get advice or ideas I may not have thought of before. I cant say Im interested in buying right now, and I have the time work and learn from someone else.. Theres gotta be a better option out there, especially with some of my experience. Of course, I've scoured everything here and the other typical relevant websites. Thanks all.
