Is Wholesaling properties in CA difficult?

I have gone through some reading materials and YouTube videos on wholesaling but I do not have any real estate investing experience. Just want opinions from experienced wholesalers especially those who operate in California, is wholesaling difficult? Especially finding leads for vacant / distressed homes? Is it true the best ways to find such leads are to go to a court house to purchase lists that costs a hundreds of dollars and driving around looking for vacant homes?

Going to the county courthouse and purchasing list's that cost hundred's of dollars?

How did you come up with that price number @Joshua Loh? When I'm researching probate files at the Placer County courthouse I'm charged $0.25 for a copy of a certain document I'm interested in.

Your better off driving around your neighborhood writing down vacant address's and then cross referencing the address at the tax collector's office.

The address would be the APN number. This will give you the current owner of the home and as well as the billing address should the owner not reside at the residence.
