Buying first home which will become rental

I am moving to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina area. I am looking for individuals that have knowledge of the area to let me know where the most desirable place is to buy a home. Upon leaving the area, I will be keeping the house as a rental property. Max price point is $250,000, thank you.
