Hey bigger pockets new member I've have my profile for awhile but first time posting. Just moved to salt lake for Southern California and I'm looking to get in and learn about wholesaling and flipping/investing I'm new to all of but I've always had an interest in real estate every job I've had a always find myself coming back to think about it and I feel it's finally the time to take the steps into getting the ball rolling and make something happen and gain financial freedom and time with my family so any advice anybody has to give I am more then willing to except it. Looking forward to meeting and networking with like minded people.

Welcome to SLC

I would get set up on hotsheets for whatever market you are interested in. Such as multi family in a particular area or single family or a particular farm area to Get to know the market prices Like the back of your hand.  I know Of an amazing  lender, banker and private money lender that might be good to add to your contacts.  Check out the local meet ups as well.

@Justin Beatty  Welcome to the BP forums and Utah!  I'm sure you will find a lot of help here in the forums as you continue to learn and decide exactly the path you want to take to financial freedom.  I have found buy and hold rentals have worked really well for me and my family.  If I can be of any help to you, please let me know.  Good luck!

Welcome to Utah. I am a transplant as well. Florida is where I called home.

I'm also a newbie. I'm going to the Utah REIA meeting this 22nd in hopes of meeting some people I can make some connections with for flipping, wholesaling, and BRRRR.

@Justin Beatty The Utah REIA's next meeting in Jan. 22. The subject is Apartment Buying through Syndication. It is located at the SLCC, Miller Campus. The address is 9750 South 300 West, Sandy. I haven't been in awhile, but when I did go, I really enjoyed it. You should check it out.
