I'm i considering the wrong deal for my first deal
Hello,
I am considering a property for my first deal. Here are some particulars that meet my requirements:
3br/2ba
All brick construction
Small yard
Off street parking
Within walking distance to downtown
Good schools
Within 30 minutes of two major cities
The bad - it needs a total redo including roof and likely needs a french drain in the basement. House has cement walls currently and the roof has been leaking for undetermined amount of time. I'd buy it rehab it and turn into a rental or try to flip it. This being my first deal I am very concerned this is too much to work through and I am biting off way more than I can handle just getting started.
Appreciate input from the group on the best way to move forward with the purchase or should I walk away?
