Retiring military and starting real estate investments.

Hello All,

I'm in my final year of military service and I (we if the partnership bears fruit) am really excited for the opportunities and career change the real estate investment market can offer. Our basic business plan is created and we have ideas for utilizing the VA SBA loan programs to get started. Just a few questions and we're always willing to listen to any advice.

1. LLC OR SERIES LLC?

2. Invest in out of state market (military base surroundings) or stay local to immediate area?

3. We desire to learn a ton and be in 100% so would going for a 5+ unit be too much at first or should we hold smaller units and try to multiply more frequently?

4. My possible partner and I will be in the same location for the next year but will more than likely be in separate locations later on. Other than the obvious challenges, what would you foresee as a challenge and even a benefit for being in separate areas.

Anyway, I know these are all open ended questions but I look forward to hearing from everyone as this is my first post and discussion.

Regards

Tom
