Section 8 housing rentals

I'm just getting started in Minnesota with SFH rentals. In my area my realtor mentioned there is a lot of need for section 8. Does someone know where to go to get the SFH registered for section 8 in Minnesota?

You don’t get registered for SEC 8 exactly, but you can contact the local Housing Authority to put your location on their available housing list and to schedule a landlord orientation, if they hold them in your market.  The official name of the program is “housing choice voucher”, meaning the tenant with a voucher chooses your home. That’s how you start.  Advertise and say SEC 8 OK on your ads.  Choosing a tenant is the next step.  All SEC 8 tenants are not created equal.  I personally require they have at least one month of rent in income.  I wrote a blog about SEC 8 that you may find useful.
