Looking for an in-depth step-by-step example of buying a house

Hello. I've just recently dived into the world of real-estate investing. I've read a few books so far, as well as some other research and I've learned a lot. Still though, going through the process of actually researching market data, using some formula to determine (within reason) the approximate cash-flow etc. all leading up to actually purchasing a home is pretty daunting. If there were someone illustrating an example of going through the process with mock numbers, doing the math, logic and all for how they decided to buy a house given some mock market data, I think that what really help a newcomer like me to really grasp concepts and the order of how they should be applied. If you know of any materials like that, that would be awesome!
