My wife is scared of the risk of real estate investing

I’m looking to leave my healthcare management position to take a 24 hour baylor night nursing position. The new job would give me time to start my real estate investing endeavor. I would be looking to wholesale properties. I’ve wanted to do this for years, but I haven’t taken the leap of faith. My wife thinks there is too much risk and she is afraid of me wasting money trying to get this endeavor started. I’m confident and committed to making this work, but my wife is not nearly as enthusiastic. Advice?
