Residential & Commercial property investing starting out

 I've always had the goal set to become an investor and own many businesses and properties. Ranging from rental multi-family homes as well as commercial properties. I am at the point in my life now, (24 years old) where I feel as if I'm ready to start this journey. However, I would like to take my time and be patient. I would like to learn from your experiences and all other angles of getting into this business. All of your feedback is highly appreciated. So, firstly I would like to know what my first steps will be as well as what I need exactly to start off. Also, which of these options should I get into first ; residential or more towards the commercial properties, or even a business.
