What investment would you recommend?
I have been reading about real estate, listening to podcasts, or anything else I can find to educate myself for the last 3 months. I feel I have a firm grasp on the basic concepts and terms used in the business. That's a little insight into my background. Here's some information about me: I'm 17 finishing up my senior year of highschool in June. I work anywhere between 20-40 hrs. a week at an average of $12 an hour, with the only 'overhead' I have being car insurance.
I am very diligent about saving money and found real estate as an avenue for investment that could produce a passive income if I played my cards right. I have decided not to pursue conventional higher education (i.e. college or tradeschool)
I have no aversion to hard work but would rather utilize my blood sweat and tears to make myself money, not somebody else.
I am fully aware real estate is not a get rich quick scheme so I'm coming to the forums to ask for any advice on what vehicle of real estate investing I should pursue... I have narrowed my view to buy and hold mainly, for stability as well as less risk in starting, than some of the more fast paced options. I have read the classic books of kiyosaki as well as the e-myth. Any other resources or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
