I need help on where to start in real estate investing. Need Help

Hi I'm James Betts. I'm a new investor who basically has an empty canvas, waiting to create a masterpiece. In other words, I have not started on anything but I do have books, educational platforms, Bigger Pockets podcast, (and possibly the lowest market in America........ Mississippi). I need a mentor because I'm ready to make mistakes and learn from others' mistakes and take action. Who has advice for a person who's in my position that hasn't began investing yet? Should I raise capital event though there's creative ways to invest with no money and no credit (even though my credit is close to 800)?
