Take Away Ray Dalio Book: Principles
Like many of the people on BiggerPockets I read a lot of Finance, Real Estate and Biography's of Successful people. I find the stories interesting as I try and see how I could use their experience and lessons learned to my benefit.
My latest read is Ray Dalio's book who is the founder of Bridgewater (Very - Very successful Hedge Fund - That I frankly never heard of - Shocking but True)
In the book Ray does a great job of breaking down is career, struggles and lessons learned in the first half and then spends time on the "Principles" he wants to share. I found value through out this book and will likely read it few more times over the year.
For this post I want to call out two things.
First Ray discusses a time where the economy had rising interest rates, inflation, geopolitical issues, etc etc. Sound familiar??? I read this section over and over as it gave at least a road map to how the domino's fell the last time we had this collection of challenges
Second Ray was big on the following process: Set and Execute on Audacious Goals, Fail, Learning Principles, Improve, More Audacious Goals ... cycle continues
In the end a great read and again I find it so sad that I had not heard of Bridgewater or Ray Dalio before I picked up his book.
