New to Multifamily Investing

I'm new to real estate investing. I'm looking to start out by investing in a multifamily (2-3 units) in the central New Jersey area, Middlesex and Union county to be specific. I'm planning to live in one of the units. I've come across a few but they don't last too long on the market and I was outbid on one recently. I don't might getting my hands dirty if the property requires a some work. If anyone knows of  experienced realtor in the area specified please send them my way. Any guidance is greatly appreciated as I embark on this journey. Thanks in advance.
