How to invest in Real Estate in Canada?

Hello everyone, I have been listening to BiggerPockets for about 1 year now. I’ve always been interested in real estate but the numbers have scared me. Listening to the podcast has changed that but I’m starting to realize that most of the information is for the USA. What are some actionable steps I can take as a newbie here in Canada? Is there an amount of capital I want to have first before I jump in the game?

It will definitely be a challenge to start in the GTA..

It will depend on the amount of capital you want to play with.

Lets say for example $60k USD   you can buy C class single in many markets especially in midwest. Or you can use that amount to partner with an experience investor on a flip or invest shares in syndicated investment and gain knowledge in those vehicles beyond what you learn on BP.
