Newbie and starting a jv with an invester. He appears to be legal saavy and we split 50/50. I have no money down on my end but have at least 2 investers ($5000 each) that will provide some money (for repairs, etc) for my half of investment. We are bidding on 4 unit to 18 unit multis in Chicago area. Any direction to legally setup my investments would be appreciated.
